Day 1 : Arrival.
You will be received at the on arrival to airport by a Maajabu Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel room in Entebbe or Kampala. And as Early as Possible hit the road towards Eastern Uganda to Mt Elgon National Park
. On our way we may have a short stopover at the source of the Nile, have breakfast then continue to Sipi falls. Dinner and overnight at Sipi River lodge or Noah’s Ark Sipi Lodge.
Day 2: Short tour of Sipi falls and Mt Elgon.
After early breakfast with a local tour guide you will visit the beautiful Sipi Falls, on a plateau 1800m above sea level. The Sipi River flows over the foothills of Mount Elgon, forming a spectacular series of waterfalls (some nearly 100m high), surrounded by village walking trails and lush green coffee-producing hills of Elgon Mountains.
You will stay in a wonderful lodge Sipi River lodge or Noah’s Ark if on budget. Through your lodge windows you will enjoy the beautiful views of one of the waterfalls.
Day 3: Exit Sipi Falls to Kidepo National Park.
After an early morning breakfast we will leave the mountain through the plains of Kapchorwa towards karamojo in the semi arid climate going with us up to Kidepo valley National Park
arriving in the afternoon with an optional visit to the Karamojong communities. Spend the rest of the evening exploring the beauty of Kidepo Valley National Park concluding with an exciting walking safari with an armed game ranger. Therefore, if you can plan your safari to arrive in Kotido on a Tuesday then you'll have the chance to experience an authentic Karamojong cattle market on Wednesday afternoon as we exit the park. It’s a marketplace full of energy where some herders walk for 5 hours to be able to buy or sell their goats, cows, milk or animal blood. It’s a colorful and stunning sight and one of the few remaining authentic experiences.
Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park.
Early in the morning go on a Wild Uganda Safari game drive through Kidepo valley National Park
Want a Uganda birding tour and see birds of prey? The Kidepo game drive will take you through it all seeing more than 50 species. From the very common yellow-billed kite, the pygmy falcon, fox kestrel and tawny eagle to the rare Verreaux’s eagle and the very rare Taita falcon. On mammals, large herds of African buffalo and bush elephant, Zebras and Giraffes can be seen easily in Park. With a little luck you will see lions and maybe cheetah. During the game drive safari tours to the hot springs of Kanangorok, ostriches can be observed in the northern part of the park in the Sudanese border and thereafter have a bush lunch overlooking this Uganda Safari park.
Day 5: Kidepo National Park-Murchison Falls National Park.
Around 7:00am after breakfast we exit Kidepo National Park through the northern Uganda corridors for the most beautifully protected area in Uganda the Murchison Falls National Park.
, entering the park with an evening game drive through the northern gate towards Paraa with warm welcome of several wild animals.
Day: 6 Game drive and boat cruise at Murchison National park.
In the morning as early as possible we start our Wild Uganda game Safari of Murchison Falls National Park.
, going through this beautiful Savannah Park. See oribis, bush elephants, Ugandan kobs, lions and maybe leopard and spotted hyena. Many bird species can be seen, especially during your boat trip in the afternoon along the River Nile Some energy left? Hike to the top of the falls and enjoy a stunning view over the Park.
Day: 7 Exit Murchison Falls National Parks to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Exit the park in the morning after breakfast and on our way to the exit, we will visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile. The famous waterfall is being forced into a seven meter crevice, to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades. On way we will have a stopover to visit the critically endangered white rhinos in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and continue to Kampala arriving in the late evening.

If arriving at the airport, you will be received by Maajabu safaris representative for your hotel transfer in Kampala or Entebbe. Depending on the time of arrival you may have a chance of your afternoon time to visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, home to captive animals and about 200 species of birds. These include seven species of weavers, such as the rare Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Weaver, and possibly have a small walk to enjoy nature at botanical gardens Entebbe.
Day 2: Kampala-Queen Elizabeth National Park.
From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park
as Early as 6:00am driving through Fort Portal and have a glace on some of the hot spring or Chimpanzee trekking(optional) before proceeding Queen Elizabeth National park.
Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park you will enjoy an evening Uganda Safari game drive before you check in to you rooms at the park. Dinner and overnight at Katara Lodge, Kasenyi wild game lodge or Mweya hostels depending on your budget.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early at 7:00am we start our game drive to the northern parts of the Park. This is not only an area for excellent game viewing but also offers much to birders. We move through open grassland which supports large flocks of White and Abdims Stork as well as the spectacular Saddle Billed Stork during the migratory season. Raptors such as Brown Snake Eagle, Walberg Eagle, Bateleur, African harrier-hawk, Marsha Eagle and Grey Kestrel are represented.
In the afternoon after lunch we go on a 3-4hours Queen Elizabeth National Park Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Watch hundreds of hippos, elephants and many migratory bird species, such as the Grey headed Gulls, White winged black Terns, African skimmers, Morning Dove, Water Dikkops, Great white and Pink-Backed Pelicans, going through different communities and experiencing life on the shores of Kazinga channel. And if you still have some energy and want to see more we go for the third session of a wild Uganda Safari drive in the evening and enjoy animals, birds and the sun set in the Savannah.

Day 4 : Queen Elizabeth to Ishasha Sector.
By 8:00am after hot coffee we will drive south of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Ishasha Sector for the famous Tree Climbing lions. This drive will be slightly slower as we will be driving through the National Park arriving Ishasha sector by 1 for an afternoon Tree climbing lions hunt. Dinner and rest at Ishasha wilderness Camp.
Day 5: Queen ENP-Lake Bunyonyi.
By 9:00am after breakfast we will head to that little area quite often referred to as “Little Switzerland of Uganda”. Here you will find Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda and situated close to the borders.
On a bright day you might even see the magnificently shaped volcano Mount Muhavura. Upon arrival at the “Lake of the small birds” a motor boat awaits you for transport to Natures Prime Island for dinner and an overnight.
Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi.
After breakfast you will go for a 3 hours canoe tour of Lake Bunyonyi with a local guide to explore the surroundings from the water surface. Drift calmly to the many small islands and enjoy the rich birdlife. Return for lunch and then take on a Bird Walk in Mukoni Village. Pass small farms and enjoy the spectacular view as you look out for many birds. Generally 60 or more different species may be seen on this walk, including the African Hobby, Black Kite, Swamp Flycatcher, Scarlet-chested, Bronze and Red-chested Sunbirds, White-headed Saw-wing etc.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi-Kampala.
And in the event that “Day : 1” of this itinerary does not apply to you, say you did not visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre then you will have the privilege of spending another night at Lake Bunyonyi giving you more relaxation time. The next day after breakfast we depart to Kampala, the capital city with stopover at the Equator.
